here some pictures:
new midconsole with resetable fuses.
Boost switch engages the boost solenoid so it will be boost by gear eventually, off is spring pressure only.
Narrow/wideband controlles the signal to the ecu, most of the time its set to wideband but my tunes said it sometimes doesnt accept this signal. turns out its fine but had its nice to have.
Fuelpump switch is all wired up, light only comes on when 12V goes to the fuelpump , not when the switch is on so any relais/fuse or switch problems are detected. Will install the surgtank and Bosch 044 pump soon..
Tunerview works but needs to be programmed.
Guages are more upright so I can read them better.
Yes its just carbon look.. don't care

the car on my new wheels.. 17s not the lightest ones but the only short notice option to my the dyno appointment.

broken EGT sensor... the other half dissapeared
took everything appart including the turbo, no damage or trace of the sensor.

now my dillema:
another 44 in a crap angle....

Or a turbosmart 60mm wastegate on the turbine housing ( yes it works very very well but the problem is a risk of cracking the housing) this will be the neatest and best performing option.

both options I will have to ruin my expensive ceramic coating on the bottom half of the manifold

OMG its solved...
holy crap...
When I took everything apart I looked into the wastegate pipe and saw this:

That explains everything!!!
I measured the piping and its 44 mm outside 40mm inside diameter so i'm changing it into a 48/44 pipe and install a new flex section.
Can't believe it.. sleepless nights, dynosession waisted and almost bought an expensive wastegate!
Camgears are going in soon and installing my fuel surge tank with bosch044 pump.
Laters boys

Wow. That's quite a small diameter section. No wonder is was spiking.
Hopefully it will be solved.

Its a cheap flex section , without the inner ribbed tube some better ones come with.
What I think happened is the turbine is so big it flows alot of air. The wastegate pipe is attatched in a 15degree angle to the downpipe and when the wastegate was closed it probably created a vacuum in the wastegate pipe and made the inner layer of the flex bit concave ( is that the correct word??)
Getting a better one now and hopefully be running soon.
But first..... I'm joining my girlfiend ( stewardess) on a trip to the Carribean comming thursday

Well...
As im waiting for the new flex bit and some AN fittings to be delivered I decided to tackle the steering rack..
Wanted to do the manual conversion for a while and today was the day. Without a spare rack it was a gamble but figured the internal parts are the same as the LHD so just did it.
It took me less than two hours to do!
Saying this its not on the car yet but taking it off and doing the conversion almost ready to fit.
I just ordered some now boots and end links just in case. the old ones are ok but ive got the thing apart now anyway.
Here are the pictures.

I've changed a rack on a 4g before and... I'm not sure what I'm looking at in the last 5 pictures?

Can you elaborate?
