When the Vtec Solenoid engages VTEC is the voltage at the solenoid now battery voltage?

Yes it is. You need a resistor on the positive leg of the led.

Cheers, might run a 12V buzzer instead of the light or maybe a light/buzzer combo.

Was wondering if there was any way I could get the buzzer to sound for 1/2 secs then go off while in VTEC. Not up on my electronics, any type of 12v switch that would do this?

A doorbell, perhaps? Then when you hit VTEC you'll get a nice 'ding-dong' :)

Not quite the sound I was looking for! :D

Need a piece electronics that switches on at 12v for say 1 sec then goes off, resets again when voltage drops <12V. Must be something out there? Any electronic gurus out there?
