Re: My 3rd generation BA5 B20A 2.0I.16 4WS
its been a nice sunny day so i thought that i would fit my new temperature gauges with sensors attached.
one for the engine air intake air temp, and one for the inside of the car.
so here is the blanks that the gauges will be located.

i removed the panels.

i took a power feed from the ignition live to the stereo and conected it to the 12vdc to 5vdc converter and connected the output to the gauge and earths too.

i bought two of each.
i ran one of the temperature sensors to the same location of the climate control motor fan.

and then cut the other gauge temp sensor wire and lengthened the cable and ran it through the car and into the engine bay and into the inlet pipe.

so with the gauges located and all connected time to put it all back together.

not the best fit but i didnt need to hack about the panel. and i can return it to stock should i need to.

the right gauge is the inlet temp and the left one is the cabin temp.
two gauges cost £5.88 posted from hong kong

and the dc-dc converters were only £5.30 for the two.

£11.18 total bargain.

yeah more magic tape, had to use it twice on mine, once to sort the filter fitment and the other to fix the hole in the filler neck.
also fixed a top hose on a golf and used some to insulate an ignition lead that was earthing to the engine on a corsa.

Re: My 3rd generation BA5 B20A 2.0I.16 4WS
had a very productive day in the sun today. my mot is due near to the end of this month so i thought that i would treat some of the rust to a bit of welding and further rust prevention.
forgot to take pics of the holes though

then a clean up in the boot
before.

after

also fitted some used rear droplinks and new bushes.
