Most tracks do not allow suction cups and want hard fixed mounts only. However you can sometimes get round it by securing a suction mount to the car with cable ties etc.. so that if the suction mount comes loose it is still attached to the car.bucks420 wrote:I need to sort a go pro mount out for mine as well but last time i was out we were told permanent mounts only, no stuck on ones. Have you heard that anywhere else? I think that was the organiser of the days rules as i've never had it at Bedford before then.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Believe it or not, I'm going to run those pads and see how they do
I have my oem pads if they fail
Merlin, I believe you are correct about the suction mounts being secured in other ways. I think this applies to Coombe, whereas it has to be tied to something aswell as suckered on
Got the 4 wheel alignment done today by our local tyre land. Those guys really understood what the car was built for and listened to what I had to tell them which was great, as the result in the way it drives now is epic.

After :

Brilliant, almost exactly what I was expecting to see. It drives amazingly now
£48 well spent
Cheers chaps

Yup when I was using my suction cup during SLS the scrutineer made be cable tie the whole thing to my roll cage.Thebusofwoe wrote:Merlin, I believe you are correct about the suction mounts being secured in other ways. Yea it used to pull real bad. Not much pull at all now it's all been set. I don't know why that is, it does have polly bushes in the radias rods. I'm looking at getting a traction bar set up now

Off caster is not a huge problem. I wouldn't go spunking money just because of it. Although traction bars are good
. The wheel alignment specialist I go to told me that it wouldn't hugely affect handling and the most I would feel it would be on the motor way.
OEM radius rods don't have anyway of adjusting them other than putting shims in place. I had poly bushes on the OEM radius rods before I got the traction bar.

Another Track 4th gen - Last March track day vids
Post by Thebusofwoe » Thu May 21, 2015 8:30 pm
Hey guys.
Not been on here much. Busy with work and family. Had an amazing day at japfest so thanks to all for a great day. Was nice to see everyone again.
Here is a FPV vid of my last full track day March just gone. Filmed using my new GoPro Hero4 Black.
The brakes held up till the end and the Nankang NS2R tyres (Soft) are epic. Wont use anything else now

Got so much more to do to her to get her where i want to. More vids to follow.
Cheers chaps
