You did that the long way. Just screw a self tapper in glue into that hose. Done.

its easy, the only issues i had were undoing the bolts that hold the splitter and bumper enderneath the car. rusted buggers

The ones holding it to the plastic tray thing (?) are annoying. Metal fixings in flimsy plastic?! Especially if they haven't been undone for years.

You still looking for a rear JDM bumper Sam? Can't tell what condition it's in and you'd need to fill the foglight hole, but you'd need to paint it anyway...

Nice one! :D Well you can get a 4th gen front bumper in a 4th gen. Isn't a rear bumper smaller and a 5th gen fractionally larger inside?

Probably easier to take it off with the bumper bar (4 nuts inside the boot if it's the same as a 4th) and then detach the bumper bar once it's off (otherwise it's a case of removing the light clusters) and then two supports under the bumper and the various arch fixings.
