I read the whole thread. That's some serious motivation here. In the end did you remove the clutch dampener?

W1GGZ BB4 Track Lude seats,bay,dyno,update

Post by W1ggz » Wed Aug 13, 2014 7:44 am

Time for a update with lots of pics :D
I wanted to get a few things done and fitted before the national meet so cracked on the week before.
I started with getting the AAR seats in i have from @nucleustylzlude i didnt have any mounts so me and kit set about making some

These seats are a nice snug fit and hold me in reallly well they look very 8-) as well :D
2 Days before the national meet i decided to paint my rocker cover, ive never done one before so read the guides on here and set to it.

This was finished the friday night before the national meet.
I used some dial paint stripper from b&q worked really well, acid etch primer, primer and then 2 cans of Ford Vision Blue and then lacquered over the top, im well chuffed with how it came out.
So then we had the dyno at the national meet.

Not much to say about this lol just made me happy that i wasnt in 177 club with my 185bhp, this left me wanting to return to powerstation where last year i got 207.9 bhp.
On our way back from the national meet me and @greenyuk did a little 4th gear drag and there is huge difference between mine and his obviously mine is lighter which help :)
On monday morning i took the trip back to power station.
So the spec so far is minimal
K+N panel filter in standard induction
magnecor leads
platinum plugs
PAS deleted
A/C deleted
Fujitsubu manifold decat ex@nitin solid fabs cat back
M2B4 box ATR clutch lightweight fly
Rob Chip
This saw me to 213bhp and 169.8 torque
he was able to pull up last years graph which showed that my power curve was massively improved last year wasnt very smooth.

On my way home i popped into see ste @bristol_bb4 and pick up his carbon bonnet.

So thats her upto date for the minute, ive got a few bits to do this month in prep for our trackday on 1st september, 2 track rod ends and n/s/f upper ball joint then get the tracking done as its all over the place at the moment.
in the not to distant future this lot will be in.

The torque seems mighty high for a stock IM. That dyno is the place where Dino had my engine where it recorded 277.

The car looks great. I wasn't keen on the colour at first but it has grown on me :D

150ish. IMO you don't usually see that amount of torque until you fit an ATR/SK2 IM.

How are the Nankang's fairing?
