just a couple of pics of some new/refurbished items:

strut brace courtesy of STKPrelude (matt)

sticker from Ammo

after receiving the brace i repainted it and went to fit it...
nowhere for it to go :? whats happening here?

turns out i need JDM strut top mountings...

so after a wanted post,i got a pair courtesy of Alex
just need to find the time to swap them over and fit the brace itself.

you might know of the timing belt tensioner trouble i had, anyway got all the belts and seals and the tensioner itself changed.

meanwhile, while it was off the car i decided to finally refurb the rocker cover:

personally i think its 8-) , but of course i'm going to say that

more pics to come when i get the top mounts and brace fitted, also planning to change the vac lines for a different colour probably.

This is a gorgeous looking motor! (With a memorable plate)

I know because I saw you around Stirling on Saturday (Or Sunday?) afternoon going in the opposite direction :)

You won't have noticed me 'cos my 5th is currently garaged but I was out entertaining myself on my other '99 Honda, "Masumi" my red CBR1000F. Did a circuit kind of covering Glasgow, Campsie Fell, Calander, Carron Valley and just touching on Stirling. Can't tell you the name of the road because I don't know. Beautiful car though mate.

PS. I know this should be in the spotted section

old wheels refurbed

Post by NCCMUR » Fri Apr 05, 2013 9:25 pm

well things are a bit slow at work at the moment ,so i dug the old 5g sawblades out of the hut and gave them a bit of a refurb :D

i'm going to keep them for winter wheels i think,
they are painted vauxhall carbon flash,
im not usually a fan of black wheels on a black car but i think these work??
that's all for now folks.

Wheels look good. And your corner speeds must be terrific with twice the rubber at each corner :o

(Still prefer your usual ones, too, but stylish for Winter wheels)

winter wheels fitted, suspension and brace fitted

Post by NCCMUR » Sat May 25, 2013 4:40 pm

so i fitted my winter wheels last week so i can refurb the silver ep3 wheels.
Image

dont know if i like them on :? maybe grow on me.

then today i finally got round to fitting the lowered suspension 8-) many thanks to @newkid

never took any pics during replacement too keen to get them on  , but heres some after pics.....

Image

Image

you can see the difference between these pics and the top pic,
but driving is majorly better, wasnt expecting much difference but car feels so much more assured. around corners the body roll is minimal ,just feels so much more secure if you know what i mean 8-)

anyway because the shocks and springs are now done it meant i could finally fit my type s strut brace, its only been ready to fit for months

Image

looks nice i think,
cars getting to how i want it to look slowly, incredible lack of funds is holding everything up,but ill get there.

thats all folks! 8-)

I quite like the black sawblades. Not as much as your regulars but not bad.

Drop, hoses and brace look good too. Nice work. 8-)

Driving the car alone is excellent
However im just back in from picking up the mrs and my lassie, went to turn around and major scrapage coming from front and back. Iv trimmed the rear bumper corners already for the 4ws
Seems to be on full lock thats causing rubbing, just hoping itll be alright with everyday driving
Bit gutted about this
