And are you sticking with the F22B in it?
Well the BB4 is on Northern Ireland plates and costs x amount to put it on Irish plates, so for the same price I bought another prelude that is in pretty good shape apart from rear quarter rust. Plus having the pick of best parts between the 2 helps.

I was out last night trying to get the BB4 turning over, and after alot of wiring and disabling an immobiliser I got it turning over! Fuel pump isint priming though, the H22a is going in in the next couple of weeks, getting a timing belt this week.

I don't think you can buy a good honda anymore they all need to be built wether its a Ba8 or BB4 doesn't bother me.

Time to get rid of the sun beating speaker cloth on the rear parcel shelf.

The Old

One done one to go

On the shelf, super tidy!! Just goes to show the condition if the old ones,

Top tip: if you remove the old one without tearing, flip it upside down its like brand new. I went for new black speaker fabric bought on eBay.

nice work - one of my pals had a BA8 with the F22 JDM Lump - he swore it was as quick as a vtec  looks like you will be able to tell if theres a difference once youve fitted the H22 in there. :)

It's 160bhp and apparently has a few more ftlbs if torque than the vtec. 0-60 says around 7.5, in its own right it's a quick enough car and a real smooth daily driver. I love the engine. I'd say with a vtec box it would move a lot better.

But yea H22a is just about ready to lift out now, buying a down pipe, welding up my own decat, fitting a timing belt a swapping stuff over in a couple of weeks.

I think im right in saying they use the F22 bottom end for turbo builds as it a cast block and better quaility than the H22 block.
Just a thought H22 top and F22 bottom plus a turbo :) 8-)

Yea I did a quick read on that, lower compression to. That would be insane,?well the bottom end is coming with me every where I go if that's the case lol. Your prelude is amazing.

Re trimmed the door speaker inserts, will get them on tomorrow,

Not because "better quality". How can you say that, when H22 are so durable :) I bet the quality is the same, just engines are different. The reason is:
* F22 sleeves are steel and compression is lower - you can use forget pistons and lower CR is better for turbo,
* H22 sleeves are with FRM cylinder wall liners and 10.0 - 11.0 CR - you can't use all those forget turbo pistons.
Yellow Dream made true.
