Ok today i thought.." lets move my battery" i had 0.50 mm2 red live wire 6 metres and 0.50mm2 black earth wire. had some m50-10 connector ends and some new battery terminals.. just need a alloy battery box bad.. but i couldnt wait no longer!!

Ok i stripped out the battery/ holder and wires:

that left me this... not much rust ;) :D :

after doing all the moves and wire cutting and fitting i was left with this:

Now with the battery in the back.. in the middle ;) and yes yes YES i've had the moan off Dino about the Zip ties LOL but i couldnt wait ... ill have a alloy battery box soon.

Only took 5 hours today.. tbh i had not much of a idea what to do with this, but i just jump in and used my head. i'm quite proud of my self tbh 8-) 8-) 8-)

Good job, except for the tie downs!

Also, your supposed to keep a normal acid battery in a sealed battery box with some kind of vent to outside, they give off gases did you know? That's why most get the drycell jobs.

 Happy to help :P

Oh and I'll be getting rid of my battery tray if you're interested. It's still in primer red as I never got around to painting it. Only put one fixing hole down through the centre of it as well.

Not bad. I would personally fuse the cable at both ends. Have you done another cable to the bonnet fuse box from battery positive?

iv not fused the cable going to the starter motor (but i might add a fuse soon.. what size do you think ill need?) but i also ran a live from the bettery to the fuse box.. i've done this as looked correct to do it... i've not seen anyone else do it tho.. so that made me think..(as you can see 2 live wires at battery) 8-)

Yer i would be inclined to run 1 long 0awg cable from the battery to a 2 way fuse box placed near the fuse box which splits to the starter motor and then to the fuse box.
The fused dizzy would use 2 150amp fuses and 150amp fuse on the battery side.

Well thats what im doing. 8-)
