Haha thats decent man! i found one in the end, the guy wanted 30 quid, said it had surface but was still solid. We shall see haha

Dont suppose you know much about tegiwas drop links and whether or not they are actually a worthwhile upgrade to standard ones

They seem a tad expensive. I swoped my drop links a few years back for standard ones, all seems ok still.

Yeah they do in comparison to standard ones, oh well the purchase has been made now so we shall see how it goes haha!

So, i have had the drop links replaced, drivers side lower arm and ball joints replaced and there is still a knocking sound when pulling away and sometimes when turning. My mechanic says there is no play either side.

I know its a pretty vague description, its more of a small clunk than a knock i guess.. Any ideas?

Arb bushes. Play in strut tops. Bad engine mount. Could be numerous reasons bud.

Or driveshafts, or badly fitted exhaust, or (check this as quite common) the downpipe hanger on the back of the block broken.

I had a similar knocking noise an turn out to be drive shafts
