I like the orange tinted indicators, kind of looks a bit retro 8-)

So it's been a while since I've been on here, got a few major update for the lude.

First off I bought some black type r alloys in mint condition with great tyres, picked them up cheap off a dealer up in Scotland, it was a free trip for me because my brother was heading that way for a new exhaust system on his S4, either way here they are.

And here they are on the car

That's the wheels out the way, onto the next big thing I have done, to cut a long story short, I made my own wiring loom and switch for the US style fog lights, sorry I don't have a build but I'll answer any questions on them, here is a quick pic I snapped midway through fitting them, oh and before anyone asks I bought them off the American eBay, they came all the way from Kentucky!

Image

In this pic I have them wired up and I installed led bulbs, I'm using them as DRLs so that's why I wanted led bulbs, as they where from the USA the bulbs in them where different so that was a pain rewiring all the bulbs etc but either way they look great.

It's amazing what you can achieve with tyrewraps and screws, I haven't got a picture of the toggle switch, I'll get one tomorrow if I remember, it's located next to the sun roof button, they aren't hooked up the the sidelights so I can't get done for having my fog lights on all the time ;)

Image

Right now that's cleared up, the NEXT big thing I'm working on is fitting the mugen body kit, I never really liked the Motegi kit for these cars, but I love the mugen kit, so I went on good old eBay and brought the eBay special body kit from Poland, 3 weeks later it arrived so I sanded it down, sprayed it with 3 coats of tin can primer and then same again with some standard black tin can spray, then with 2 coats of nighthawk black spray tin, finishing with a few coats of lacquer, either way, the rear fenders (I think that's what they are) turned out great, here's a picture of the finished result.

So all that's left is the front lip and side skirts and I own a mugen style prelude! Hit me up with any questions if any I'll do my best to answer!

I bought some fairly small nuts and bolts and literally just drilled through the fibreglass and bodywork and bolted it on, the nuts had plastic inserts so they screwed on tight, afterwords I just pained the end of the bolts black and you can hardly tell, on,y if you look up close.

Note you can see the small bolt to the right of the wheel. It's perfectly secured on it won't budge.

I finally fitted the mugen front lip, here are some pictures, it's not bad considering I had to paint it myself and fit it myself, all using spray tin cans.

You'll have to ignore how dirty she is, my daily commute to work consists of country roads and lorries, so it's not worth cleaning as often as I should, especially in winter.

Last picture is the switch which I have wired up to the fogs

Nice one! I haven't bothered with the side skirts I decided to leave them so I'll be selling them soon, looking forward to seeing how yours has turned out!
