Humm. We will see soon enough. The s spec uses a viscous diff, Not the better helical diff. I'm putting an updated helical diff in my Type S so I'll be able to do a direct comparison between atts and a diff that behaves like atts. S spec gauges are the same as the type s.
I've not driven it hard yet and won't until the cambelt is done. My initial impressions are that the viscous diff is softer and less aggressive than the torsen diff in an ATR or ITR. As such you would assume less effective, but don't know yet, it is hard to compare with different chassis and suspension setups from different cars anyway. It is certainly nicer to drive but you can still feel it working. My concern with the viscous is what I have read about the operating temperature of the fluid, along with the fact that it breaks down over time anyway. I doubt I will ever drive it hard enough to matter anyway because I can't afford to crash it :mrgreen:

As much as I love a Motegi I have to say the type S is a better car imho.
