He did say it would require cutting out the rust and welding a plate to replace it.mercutio wrote:as long as the guy is replacing metal and not just grinding back and filling which seems to be the norm nowadays
Re: Aarons 5G Motegi Project
Going to be cleaning the engine bay at the weekend (as long as it doesn't rain), I've found a few threads with a few tips. Has any one got any other tips they can give me?
Will post a before and after picture when complete!!

Re: Aarons 5G Motegi Project
Attempted to clean the engine bay today, although i didn't have access to a hose or anything similar. had to use plenty of elbow grease instead
didn't get to finish, but here is the progress.
BEFORE

AFTER

i also took the car down to a tyre shop as there is a slight pull when accelerating / driving - suspected it was the tracking however he said it was fine. although i did find out i have a mixture of winter / normal tyres .... just an excuse to get my a new set of wheels sooner than i had planned

Your arches are the same as mine in the rear lol
Mines probably worse in fairness
Have a good hoke in the inner arch though, i ended up having chunks of metal literally fall out on me over a little outer arch rust lol
