next update!

Dash is really coming together. Almost all wiring is ready to be connected.
EGT sensor fitted and wiring done.
Second o2 sensor bung welded in my downpipe.
Bought a narrowband sensor with 4 wires. Without the connector. When I was underneath my car yesterday found the origional connector for my O2 sensor ! So going to order a new O2 sensor including connector.

Got some realy cheap LED strips ment for day running lights. Fitted them on my rollcage as interior lights. 8-)

Also Spray painted my digital rev and shiftlight black. Origionaly I was planning on mounting it ontop of my dash but found a very good spot next to my new Innovative AF guage.

There's so many cool little features on this. Can't wait to see it all finished!!
How easy was it to wire up the digital rev and shift light?

Was gonna wait with the reply till I had more pics but spend 25 hours just on wires and sorting and binding cables.
I'm getting there but still have some wires and even connectors left who lost their tag.

@Prahunt was that a sarcastic question?
Its very easy. Take the blue rpm wire from under the bonnet , thats the RPM signal wire. Connect that and a 12v and ground and your done! Select 4 cylinder on the guage/shiftlight and it works.
The digital rev numbers are very small and maybe a 100 rpm off or so compared with the origional counter. But it looks cool and the shiftlight is very bright!

Next update after the weekend. Hope to connect the battery.
Guys please keep your fingers crossed the whole thing doesn't burst into flames :?

You definitely have to record the whole event, from before you open the door and pop the bonnet ;-)

Not gonna start it yet, first some 12V on the system. electrical mess can really set you back.
Just hope the important things work.

mmmmmm..
bummer... Well it didn't catch fire.. but I have no dashboard lights...
The guages I installed work fine but the rest , lights and dash dont work.
haven't tried my startermotor yet.

I am wondering if I should have connected my ECU. Does anyone know If thats needed?
Also have another connector left  really do not know what its for .. sorting things out and really hope to fire up the engine after the weekend..

this is how it looks in the dark..

this is what i'm doing now.. took the whole dash apart so I can atleast see were the wires go and measure if they have any voltage at all. the wires look horrible because of the sunbaked "chocolat" over it but are actually still good.
will re-tape them when they go back in.

Hi guys..
Its not running yet...
also need some help identifying a connector so please read on..

I have taken my intakemanifold off and my whole engine wiringloom apart to sort out the O2 sensor wiring.
was a pain but just had to do it to make sure.
Also had to remove buth fuse boxes and check every wire.
Found two things,
I grounded a black wire that gives out 8 volts. dont know what its from, can't find it in any wiring diagram.
My underdash fusebox didn't have a ground connection. Strange as I have only removed things I don't use anymore like power windows and central locking, but nothing else.
I have connected a good ground source to the fusebox so my dash gets a ground source now.

Fitted the dashboard and all guages. it finaly works :D
check this link:

I have welded the fia bolt plate for my crotchstrap and fitted my seat:
Image

Wrapped my downpipe, top part in black wrap (damn thats a messy job) so the part you can see doesnt turn brown . might redo it in titanium DEI wrap someday. wanted to wrap past my oilpan so I don't fry it.
Image

Now the bad news... My brand new Yonaka race radiator is leaking. Filled my radiator with the waterless coolant and it started dripping. first I thought it was a hose but its a leak somewhere in th core, nog even were its damaged.
ordered a new one straight away and going to have this fixed.Image

also my hood damper snapped. I have mounted them wrong.. Image

Then I nearly cut the top part of my finger off by a sharp bit of metal.... right hand index finger so I can't do sh#t at the moment... I have lots to do when I'm waiting for my radiator to come in so will have to get some help and improvise.

Question guys..

Underhood fuse box had a 3 wire connector. CAN NOT find it anywere on the diagrams only that it goes into the engine wire harness.
can someone please have a look for me whare the wires go or tell me what it is for?
Its not the bwown one but the clear connector with the blk/yel - grn/blk and blk wire...
