Access suspension is yellow springs and red shocks and was optional. Mugen is identical but black and silver.
In the uk I think it was blue and black.

Erratic idle issues sorted.

Post by honda-hardy » Sat Apr 20, 2013 12:36 am

i had a very productive day on the lude today. the erratic idle issue is sorted. firstly i cleaned the iacv (idle air control valve) but this made no difference. so on to the fitv (fast idle thermo valve). i unscrewed the 2 Phillips screws and removed the cover. beneath is a valve seat, its round and made of white plastic, and screws into the pot, mine was loose, so tightened it by screwing it clockwise as there are 2 small slots in it with a screwdriver until it stopped. replaced cover and bobs your uncle. starts and idles so sweetly.

you can just about make out in the mirror the 2 screws for the fitv.

day going well, on to the next item. mark the previous owner, wanted a bass control box that was located in the pocket below the front fog switch. so i unscrewed it and traced the wire along the side of the car under the door kick plates, but what was this? looked like RCA cables. looked under the boot carpet and nothing in there. removed the back seat and to my horror was a group of cables that had just been cut and laying loose. so i removed the inner quarter trim and pulled the cable through, started to pull the cables and noticed a power cable... traced it to the fuse box and it was still bloody live. FIRE WAITING TO HAPPEN!!!! WTF!!!. Oh well, onward and upwards. took the old stereo out too as it was a broken tape and cd changer combo. nice new mp3 one fitted now.

mass of cables.
