I already have them on my Isuzu ;) my Legacy had them too. I actually find it annoying driving cars that don't have them now, it's quite rural where I am and it makes a difference on unlit junctions :)

Completely share your views on the fixed poles on Toyota mini van things alinton - gopping awful, tacky looking things.
The retractable pole is very discrete and cool looking though!

I fitted the Advans this eve. Really pleased with them, they fill the wheel arches nicely - the accord alloys didn't poke out enough really. I need smaller nuts though as I can't fit the centre caps currently...

Went for a cheeky run round the block as my front end is still missing, the car rides a lot nicer now all the wheels are the same size  certainly looks less pikey at any rate.

Will get some photos once it is back together. Fallout 4 comes out on the Xbox this week though so there is chance that work could be delayed

I think so - I was given a set of nuts for the wheels, I will grab a pic of the seat and measure them. They're only 5mm too tall or so.

That'd be awesome mate :) I'll let you know.

Finished the sunroof off today by fitting the interior bracket trims btw, really pleased with how it looks 8-) cheers for getting it sent over so quickly, it's really smartened up the car :)

I don't have the shade fitted either, might have to consider a similar course of action, especially as I have a metal gear knob

In bumper pole news, here is my mk1 template which I just finished:

Image

It's not beautiful but it appears to do the trick. Spot the obvious error though... ;)

I made it by fitting the pole to the bumper bar with the bumper skin removed. I put the acrylic on top and marked the points where it would be secured, and marked the point where the tip of the pole would be. I drilled the marks, removed the pole from the bar and fitted the bar in the skin. I've used nuts and long bolts to secure the template, on the next iteration I will use washers as shims to get it sitting perpendicular to the surface of the bumper bar.

Just need to measure the diameter of the bumper pole outer housing and buy a suitable hole saw, then I should be ready for the moment of truth :?

Ideally I'd like to get this all done tomorrow, will have to see how that pans out...
