Re: W1GGZ BB4 Track Lude LSD box now in
Well just a small update my LSD box is now in along with the lightweight flywheel i bought off ammo and a ATR clutch kit.
Took the guy a little longer than he had hoped as he spent nearly an hour getting the gear box mounts out and also had to swap a few plugs and the speed sensor over from my old box.
heres a few pics

this was given a rub down to remove the surface rust before it went in.

i havent driven it very far yet as i only live down the road from work and had the kids to sort out last night but first impressions are that the acceleration is a lot better and when vtec kicks it feels a lot more violent lol
. i dont know if its a placebo or not tho
Havent had a chance to test cornering as ive got some cheap tyres on now for normal road use.
On sunday i also managed to get the brake pads out and give them a rub down as they were slightly glazed over

I had my little helper too, think she is deffinately gonna be a car nutter

this is the wheel with the buckle in it

and a pic of my front left tyre after two days at combe

so shes now sat on these wheels for daily driving with some runners from work on

My brake pedal still feels really soft, it goes a long way down before really ding much and doesnt seem to pump up to solid with the engine off or on. Gonna try bleeding them through a bit more. could my brake lines be expanding more than they should they are just the standard hoses still. but on my black bb4 the pedal is much better and is effective right from the top.

Re: W1GGZ BB4 Track Lude Parts body work exhaust update
Really need to do an update so here it is, getting to the stage where theres so many pics on my phone to upload i didnt want to start doing it but here it is
So from my last track day at combe first heres a few picks

As you can see pete joined me for the day it was very wet in the morning as was my first go out with LSD and my first time on a wet track and my god it was slippy

Im really happy with how well the cars goin but after a short trip out as passenger in petes car its very apparent the difference the coilovers and r888s make over my pretty much standard car, so these will need sorting over the winter.
In the afternoon it dried up nicely and i got to really push the car, the LSD box has made such an improvement on my cornering speeds and i spend 6 laps on the ass of a z3 m coupe which he wasnt very happy about. also had a great race with a 205 which had the Mi 16 engine and was runing just under 200bhp weighing around 800kgs i couldnt pass him and he couldnt get away was great fun.
Still having massive issues with brake vibrations and the pedal being very soft so i have got a set of new pads and discs to go on before the next day and braided brake lines to fit.

At the national meet i picked up the only other version of Gaynos front splitter and a few weeks later i met up with Dbo to collect crunchys rear bumper complete with wingswest lip.

So in they went to my make shift spray booth (the scrap tyre room)

The next day they were back on the car in primer

and it sat like that for a few weeks.
I then had the arrival of the TRM K brace
so set about fitting that as well as the 6 point harness he supplied me with

Ive picked up 2 toyo T1 for £20 each with about 5mm tread on to sort me for my last few outings

As some of you know from the dyno my front pipe was blowing slighty, this was from the weld on the bracket that bolts to the engine.I spoke to cebul and and went on the journey to his to collect nitin's old exhaust system manifold and front pipe with Solid fabs 2.5 inch decat back

I decided to heat wrap the manifold

ive got a couple of short vids to upload to show the sound difference of the old janspeed and the solid fabs system, it sounds really nice and still not loud.
Now for the biggest change on my car to date. After seeing Nathans Photoshop a while back of his car primered and lacquered and my bumpers sitting in primer for a few weeks the idea was really growing on me, so after a couple of texts to nafeman i decided to do it. £80 later this arrived from ebay

so on saturday night at 8.30pm after i put my kids in bed i headed back down to work and began

we left at 1.30 am with 11 tins of primer applied and then came back in the morning to sand it back a bit and apply the lacquer another 10 tins

a few hours later we rolled her into the sunlight

and removed the wrapping

Now at the moment its a little bit hazy but thats why i put loads on so i can rub it back down and then mop over it all to make it shiny. Heres how it looks up close at the moment

and heres a pic of the wing i spent about 2 mins on to see if it will come up nice

Im quitely confident that i will get it looking pretty good and ive got a few hours in the morning tomorrow before my first job comes in, full valet on footballer wags Q7 so im gonna try and get a fair bit of it done.
