if you run the blow off valve back into the intake doesnt that negate the use of the bov??

Re: eDaniel 4th gen project
@merc
When there is a pressure buildup (throttle closed), the blow off valve should purge the excess air one way or another (either purge or recirculate). This pressure can decrease or stop the turbo wheel which causes lag. Due to the fact that the purged air goes before (important) the turbocharger, it can't negatively affect the system. On the contrary, I believe that a closed loop may be even better because that pressurized air is not ingloriously vented into the atmosphere, but rather it is ready to be used right when the driver hits the throttle again which usually happens in a split second. Correct me if I'm wrong.

well that depends on whether you lift off lol it drops excess pressure so if your foot is hard in it will drop the excess boost so you dont blow your engine or stall the turbo if you lift off

Now I'm currently working to fix the vibrations and the accompanying noise. 87 dB average and almost 92 dB peak. Everything is shaking and squeaking...

Re: eDaniel 4th gen project
One day after... the rear OEM mount (filled with PU50) and the tranny mount are now installed and the vibrations are almost gone. I will replace the other mount in Friday to kill the freaking vibrations once and for all.
We will have a national Prelude meeting this weekend so I have to be ready

Re: eDaniel 4th gen project
I'm up and running a second week now. Here is the dyno graphic:

Another photo of the paint on sunlight (phone camera):

Under da hood

Photo from the dyno:

I can't stress enough how much fun is to drive the car. We tuned it for mid-range torque, not for high rpm peaks.
This setup combined with the U2Q7 box (5th from N2C4) is a smile machine. Now that the weather is colder, there is absolutely no traction when I bottom the pedal. It is still perfectly drivable until 4000 rpm if you are easy on the gas
The engine was modified/rebuilt by Ring Auto. The whole exhaust setup end-to-end and the installation of the turbocharger was performed at Extreme Tuning.
Dyno tuning by Teodor Aynadzhiev (ProGas) who is a FWD street-class champion in the Bulgarian drag championship.
Cheers,
Daniel
