thank you sir. It's not a daily driver. I have a beater pick- up truck that absorbs all the pain of these New York City roads.
Aha. See I was looking at getting cheap run-around (my girlfriend needs to learn to drive) just so my car gets a break! But the cost of running another car: insurance, petrol, tax, maintenance. Kind of off putting! Can't wait until I'm 50 and can pay less insurance on 4 classic cars than I pay on my Prelude

yeah I heard insurance prices in UK are insane compared to US. I pay just 200 dollars extra per year ( I guess around 120 GBP) to have a 2nd car insured on the same policy.

What! I'm paying around £800 a year on insurance, a second car would still depend entirely on the car itself, but I'd probably be paying an extra £400+ at least depending on the car.

yeah I clean my wheels 2 times a week in the winter :D that salt is just a killer here.

a few years back I was on an ice fishing trip up in New Hampshire, and the cool thing is they don't even use salt where I was. They use sand. Works just as good without damaging any autos.

thanks for the compliments!
