8-)
Decent motor, that.
The rust will need cutting out and new metal welding in. You will probably find its run further than you can see (will need chasing out further) but it's not a massive job by the looks. Will need really good rust treatment after repair, to stop it spreading back.
Whale penis looks jobby in there - blatantly doesn't fit a prelude engine bay.
What exhaust manifold/header is fitted?

Good looking motor. Enjoy
Rust on the arches on mine was similar so cut out the rust and put new metal in check the jacking points at each side at the bottom of the arches as mine looked similar to yours and i found out that the jacking points were a bit like swiss cheese so the coachworks that i put the car into replaced them with new metal before injecting the sills and arches with rustproof stuff

@mercutio you were right  was at the front. Huge chunk of the mani/downpipe gasket was/is missing. Done a temp repair while I wait on a gasket.

I'm thinking about putting the car back to standard so what's people's views/opinions. Do I go the full hog and do mani/downpipe along with the catback? Standard ride height? Standard grill? An then have the body work aka rust sorted.

Basically turn it into a clean oem sir.

youve got a modified 4th gen so i would definately go for OEM on the 5th - this will give you a good contrast between the two and you can pick which one you want to use each day depending on what your going to be doing ;)
also imo putting this 5th back to OEM will increase its resale value - thats if you find keeping two ludes on the road too costly :)

Nice buy newkid. Get that rust sorted asap as if it goes to far its a MOT fail on rear seat belt mountings.
