So its been a while since ive posted, stupid rainy weather and work. But now its colder and less rainy i can have some fun. Finally got round to fitting my double din in the dash and getting all the firmware updated to a well modded android alternative :D (makes the £150 i spent on a tom tom 3 months ago super pointless now)

So now my car has it's own email address  and i can carry looooads of music on an sd card for those long journeys. Built in satnav like tom tom and waze, spotify etc, anything on the android store.

I did notice a potentially worrying thing.
My powersteering fluid level seems awfully low and it was up to the upper line 4 weeks ago when i checked last, i could not see any leaks near the bottle and nothing under the car.
What could cause it to dissapear?
Any specific places i can look?
Would this be the stuff i need to top up?

And a starting pic of my engine bay just for fun

Its coming up to payday so will be grabbing a few items.
And with that in mind are these spark pluggs right?

Best to get under the car when dry and check for leaks then for power steering as its coming from somewhere if its dropped that much so soon. Also love the double din unit. What make is it, as looking for one myself !

The double din is a pumpkin 7" unit - And i have upgraded it with firmware from Malaysk on the xda forums. Currently i have a 128GB sd card in there to store music and video.

Just a word of advice if you go for that unit, it does not come with a cage, so you will need to use an existing one which will leave a small gap around the unit or buy a separate mounting cage. But to be honest the standard on eon the car is fine. i can take some close pics if you like.

So i have been a touch quiet as the weather's been the worst and I’ve been trying to save up some money to get a few bits done. Since my last update i have had a bit of a check-up on the car and found a few oil leaks and bits and bobs needing to be addressed so I'm booked in next weekend to have the following list done
- Cam belt , auto tensioner, balance belt, vtec gasket seal replace, cam end seal replace, oil filter, fuel filter and valve clearances . ( i think that’s everything) all totalling around £380 parts and labour.
Does that sound a reasonable price for the work?
Also the engineer is pretty set on 5w40 full synth being the correct oil but i keep reading on the forums 10w40 should be used, who is right?

4 new Tyres to be installed on Saturday

Also i will be heading to Oulton park on the 19th April for a track day. The above will get my engine up to purring all nice (hopefully). Only thing left to do to get ready for the day i think is a proper brake refurb.

Hello All

Well it has been some time since my last post, totally forgot to get any updates posted on here.
Thanks to @prelude_h22 for the awesome ep3 steering wheel and the carbon interior trims, the car looks awesome inside now.

And thanks to @damon for the powerflow exhaust cat back. Makes a good old racket :D
I will get some pics up later this evening.

The car has been awesome till it's mot few weeks ago. :(
It seems i have been had when i bought the car.
Place i got it from did a poor weld job on a bit of corner rust, then coated the whole underside in a fiberglass or resin type crap hiding the rust and sealing it in to sell the car. Looking back at the history it had 2 mot failures on the corrosion 3 weeks before a magical clean mot with no issues. now come my mot i am looking at £500 worth of welding and the same issues as last years failures ( same 4 points of corrosion but now they twice the size). Looks like its a dodgy mot place and seller :x :x :x
Took it back to them and they guy's a real piece of work, wont get anywhere there.

So i am quite a gutted panda at the moment

What would you guys advise to do,
shell out the money and keep enjoying the car?
Sell it as mot failure?
Anyone fancy a bit of side cash to do some welding for me for less than £500?

Hi @BrokenSpring
I do welding on vehicles I do a lot of work on classics and modern classics
I’m not far away only in Holmfirth
If you want i can pop over and have a look give you my opinion on time and cost
You can then decide what’s best for you but everything is fixable buddy

Cheers
