nighthawk74 - 5g Prelude 2.0i SOHC 'Sport'

Post by nighthawk74 » Fri Oct 07, 2011 6:04 pm

Hi all, Well i suppose i might aswell start a progress thread for my pride & joy 5g lude 2.0i Sport.

Ok, I purchased it by ways of a deal with my existing Ford Puma but wanted something Jap, so l contacted the seller of the lude has he was looking for something Smaller, we exchanged many emails/pictures. and agreed to meet up, we met up and took a look at each others cars He liked mine and l liked his. So we did a straight swap..and l became a lude owner. The lude had just passed its yearly MOT just needing rear brake pads..bonus..and already was taxed until next april. So there was nothing i needed to do apart from contacting my Insurance Company.

We shook hands to agree the deal, and made ourselves home, once i got home i decided of things i wanted to do to the lude. Firstly it badly needed a decent detailing, so i spent mostly 2-3 days in cleaning & polishing it (using Meguiars G220 DA).. Pictures below

This is my progress thread for my lude and will update accordingly..

UPDATE

One job that needed doing was the rear bumper on the N/S rear corner has it was sitting right, on inspection l stripped the bumper down, and found that a couple of the clips were busted, so on the phone to my local Honda Dealer and placed an order for them and £3.98 later the bumper was fixed.

as of today 7th October, I decided to purchase a genuine Honda Oil filter from my local Dealer which i am going to do once the weather improves..

I also puchased from good ol eBay this:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SOICHIRO-HOND ... 2282wt_952 which for £4.49 is pretty good and looks cool

Wow, nice work! I'm always very jealous of people with clean engine bays :)

Nice man, good to see someone cleaning the parts you rarely see. I second JayJay's comment too.
