Wanted: 5th Gen H22a8 OEM Center Pipe & Back Box
Post by arif_manji » Fri Jan 18, 2019 12:19 pm
I am after the OEM centre pipe and back box for my 5th Gen H22a8. I've been told the a5 and a8 centre pipes are different lengths as the CAT's longer on the a8?
If you have one, please let me know.
Cheers

Thanks for your reply mate. I'm now thinking to replace the who system with an a5 pipe, CAT, centre pipe and back box. Just so in the future I am able to find and fit an pipe more easily too.

You can use 4g parts for this.arif_manji wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 7:51 amI'm now thinking to replace the who system with an a5 pipe, CAT

Are the centre CAT, centre pipe and back box the same? I always thought the 5th was a longer pipe?
Cheers

5th gen A5 exhaust parts are the same lengths as 4th gen.
The only difference is the hangers for the rear section are different on 5g's to 4g's.
A8's are the odd-ball length-wise.

I replaced the complete system on my a8, put the complete a5 system including downpipe.
Cheers for the tip Iain.
I still prefer the 4th Gen to the 5th, just doesn't feel like a real sports car.

Cool, I've left it in the garden with the rubbish waiting to be cleared out but I'll put it back in the shed for you. The tips are all good, apart from a small dent but not visible unless you see the car from underneath and the nut that holds them have rusted so you have to replace them. I'll clean it up and put in the shed for you.arif_manji wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:37 pmYes please Nitin, I must admit i miss the bigger tips on my a8![]()
