A new car for Mrs H-H wanted.

Post by honda-hardy » Sat Jun 14, 2014 11:05 pm

Currently I am looking for a temporary car for when my type s goes in to performance autoworks for an engine rebuild, the intention was also to allow the Mrs to also use the car when her 4th gen goes in to have the side resprayed, so any car with a few months of tax and mot would have been OK and after its finished with, we were to sell it on. However, she is contemplating on another choice.

having owned my 5th for some time, she has begun to appreciate the much superior car that a 5th gen is compared to her 4th gen.

so her 4th gen will be up for sale at some point.
F20A4 Auto, Bordeaux red pearl, low mileage 77,205, no rust, but the rear passenger quarter panel and door now have some lacquer peal, the work to fix it has been quoted at £300 as the lacquer would not give a good base for the new paint, so it will all have to be rubbed off.
also it is due for a cam belt i would have thought.

also has the AMG number plate.

her new car must be a black or burgandy, automatic 5th gen, preferably have some kit, she is not bothered about it being a 2.0 or 2.2, because it just needs to be the right car.

The 3rd and 5th gen look huge compared to the 4th gen......and it's nice to see the 3rd and 5th together...so similar.... :)

I think I read somewhere or maybe a review that honda said they went back to the 3rd gen design when they were drawing up the 5th gen

5th gen superior to the 4th??

I had to re-read that line twice. :?: 4th wins every time. Superior shape, superior dash, superior interior, superior handling.

Drove a 5th last year, very disappointing.

5th was a very bland replacement to the definitive Prelude, the 4th.

Having own both plus a 3rd Gen i found the opposite. I founds the 4th gen to be the odd one out. Not as good hnadling as the 3rd gen by anymeans. Cramped interior. But still a great car.
The 5th Gen is alot like the 3rd Gen in handling and feel.
