He has a H22a all standard however from what I remember Ryan saying the EML light comes on and the car goes into limp mode leave off for a couple minutes and starts up and runs fine again.

Ryan may be able to shed some more light if needed.

Also I have a question I have a spare Dizzy sitting in the house for a H22a7 I know it wont be straight fit as is OBD2 however will any of the internals work i.e. where is the sensor located in the dizzy?

Yeah sonetimes the eml isn't on and it's fine but when it comes in its in limp mode and the code we got was crankshaft position sensor

a7's (or is it a8's? :think: ) are funny, in that they do have a crank position sensor, that picks up crank position. Therefore not sure if the distributor is the same?
There should be someone on here that can confirm...

I have a spare h22a5 dizzy that i can take the sensor out of or get pics for if needed. I have 4 boxes of 5th gen VTI bits i need to get rid of, and they aren't going very quickly! Bloomin honda is too reliable (ive jinxed it now!)

So long as you're talking about a 4th gen h22a (not the Type-S odd-ball h22a!) then I think it should be identical, yes.

A picture would be great, my local D&A factors don't do full distributors and I'm no sure what bit looks like I'm needing

Yeah it's a h22a2 form bb1 only distributor I can find can't find one for bb4 h22a
