Hi all as you no I own a 2.2 auto what can the tranny run at safely bhp wise ? Apart for going manual is there any upgrades I can do to the auto gear box ??

i think the general Consensus is to go manual mate - iv been told most the issues with the auto box are due to temps in the box, this in mind more power through the box i would think would cause higher temps - dont hold me to that tho

im planning on putting a aftermarket oil cooler on mine to help cool the oil. other than that mate im not to sure.

hopefully someone will be along soon with more ideas, i too am interested in what people have to say on this

drop the chocolate box and put a real box in there and feel happy. The auto really does sap the energy from the h22. Not working with a whole lotta torque originally the auto takes the 'prelude' out of the prelude imho.
