Driving turbo build to be remapped

I'm going to start bolting my turbo kit onto my stock h22a shortly. Is there a way I can safely drive the car to be remapped?
I'm thinking along the lines of setting the boost ultra low or leaving a boost pipe off etc?

If you block the vacuum pipe to the actuator I don't think it will make any boost at all and in theory not be a problem for a short drive?

If you've got a boost gauge set up (which I hope you have!), then just drive it sensibly, use light throttle, and try to stay off boost where possible.

If it starts to run lean you can cause big problems

Yes I will have a boost gauge
I'm hoping Petes suggestion will work as it will save me some money and hassle getting the car transported!
Craig, yes that is what I'm trying to avoid by somehow running the standard setup whilst still having all the turbo parts fitted

Yeh just be careful to mot spool it up I would intentionally cause a small boost leak too incase it trys to build pressure

You could unplug the lambda sensor to put it in limp mode. That will make the ECU run extra rich to be safe. Then just reset the ECU to clear the CEL/MIL code.

why not just ask a mate to tow you? no transportation costs, no engine worries.
imo if i just completley changed the way and engine works the last thing I would want to do is make it work witout being told about it

or pay 80-90 pound to get it transported?? not that much tbh and safer in the long run!

considering how much you just spent on putting a turdbo on an NA car surely it's not worth possibly wrecking all that for the sake of a lowloader?
