Wheels covers

Hi, anyobdy know, where I can get them?? I would like to put them to protect my wheels, as my car is keept outside and during this weather I have got some oxidations spots on the lips.

Need them made from waterproof material,

What about pitting something like electrical tape over the polished lips as well for extra protection?

Trouble is, moisture will still get in there, but then it's less likely to evaporate if you've got a cover on them. Have you thought about plasti-dipping them temporarily?

what about a sacrificial anode

Lump of zinc on the inside of the wheel, that'll rot instead of the lip then provided it's metal to metal contact

Yes that could work, but I would like to have something, what I can easy remove and put in when starts raining, something like a wheel bags.

Problem is, car is kept outside, and now, when is raining, I need to wait when it is finish and wipe the all rain drops to not leave the to dry. So that is a bit annoying.

And I can not plasti dipping them as I'm ussing car not daily but about 2-3 times in week, so these bags would be a great things.

Wipe them over with vaseline?

Get some spare wheels maybe? a set of standard Prelude wheels or something.. or wax your wheels.. or don't leave your car parked in deep puddles. Those wheel bags will fill up with water when it rains, simulating deep puddles.

I'll be honest Cebul, I love your wheels to bits. But this is exactly the reason I decided in the end to paint the rims on my Volks. The polishing was taking forever and the up keep is too much especially having to repolish when they are assembled back together, the bolts are then in the way. I feel your pain as the polished look is blatantly nicer.

I picked up these a while ago, only got two though, but as said won't really help with your problems, it's gonna be spare wheel for winter and the constant upkeep of these wheels in the not so nice summer days:

Pretty cool, only go over the rim and most likely not fully waterproof.
