Right lads im booking on the polo for its MOT next sat but I have a few questions I carnt find answers to so wondering if anyone can help..

I'm going to be getting it MOTd taxed on temp car cover but where do I stand with the new requirements that I need the polo sorn or insured?

It only going to be used for shows so having it insured all year will cost me a fortune but I carnt keep getting it insurance and taxed every time I won't to go to a show then sorn it once I'm home.

Are there any loop holes?

I thought all cars now have to be taxed or sorned, and if taxed, insured.
Couldn't you get cheaper insurance with an agreed low mileage?

Yeah that was my understanding of it but ill only doing 1000 miles MAX on the road a year so I think ill ring my insurer and see what the can sort as my no claims or on my daily car

Yeah what the man above says.

Also, with it being mainly a show car, im guessing its something special.

Would you really want to take the chance of it not being insured, then something happen to it, stolen etc??

It's not a show cars as such it's the h22 polo so it's just Millage to the strip and shows / meets

To take it someone would need to bring a fair amount of tools to even get into the garage let alone take it lol

temp insurance can cost as much as 12 months

with a car like like that, i'm sure you will only be able to get 12 months from modified insurance

on your existing policy you should be able to add temp vehicle for say maximum of 30 days in one year, but doubt a modified car.

Limited milage policies can sometimes be a pain the ass. Wiht Sky they didnt care, however Greenlight wanted copies of MOT's to prove milage. Useless when you have a track car as all your track miles get taken into account .
