Garden Overhaul!

Ok, on the surface I know it's not 'lude related, but this is what has been preventing me from spending time on my precious
I'm not going to pretend this was a short project - I started in April 2011
Here's what the garden looked like back then:

Since the garage isn't big enough to squeeze a 'lude in I figured I could ditch the shed. And the concrete. There was lots of it!!

So we ended up with, basically, nothing. I had successfully destroyed the garden

Since a mate works at a turf farm I managed to secure a delivery of Grade A drought proof, flood proof turf usually reserved for golf courses, cricket wickets, football pitches etc and a rediculously reasonably price (less than a night out at the local pub!)...

You've probably already noticed a hole appearing in the corner - thats the beginnings of the pond. lots of concrete, brick and oak later and it was starting to take shape nicely

Since the garage electrics was fed by a nasty overhead piece of cable I decided to run a new feed with some proper underground armoured cable. While I was at it I rewired the garage too - new sockets for the pond pumps and lights and new strip lights so I can work on 'lude bits at night

Next up was some decking, getting close to finished now!

And this is what it looks like today. A bit of digging still to do and then it's down the the mrs to plant flowers and stuff

Which means soon I'll be able to hoist my engine out and start work on the 'lude again
