Lude Generation

Anniversary this week of 12 years of ownership of my current white Type S. Have added 80,000 miles to date.

Previously, I owned a sky silver '97, 5th Genagain for 3 and a half years, tiptronic. £149,000 miles when I was rear ended. Never again.

Prior to that, Honda Accord Coupe, 1996, 2.0l. Owned for 3 years, traded in for the Prelude, and was showing 199,000 miles, and still going strong!

Nearly 15 years in the 1991 4th Gen.

previously had a 94 jap import around 2004. loved the car and regretted selling it in 2006. just got my hands on a gen 5 so hopefully many years of motoring ahead of me.

Thats good going Nalla owning a type s is always going to be a bit more of a challenge - you might be the longest serving Type S owner
Its now into 20th year of lude ownership for me....
Ive driven a lude as a daily since 2000 when i traded my 4 door civic vti in for Milano Red BB4 4th gen.
I have passed the BB4 on to another forum member for some tlc and now have a very early super comfy (1991) 4th gen JDM BB1
They are all great cars 4th and 5ths

I got my Type S around April 2008 so it's close to 12 years. In that time I have put 27k on the car.

Before that I had my malachite green blue 4th Gen 2.0i for a year and before that my fist 2 cars both 96 Civic LSI coupes.
During Type S ownership I had another 2.9i red 4th Gen, a 2.0 ex 3rd Gen and a 2.0i-16 4ws 3rd Gen.

Hard to tell now - red 5th gen 2.2vti for 4 or 5 years , then straight onto the silver 5th gen 2.2vti for at least 3 years now , so coming on 8 or 9 years i think.

Prelude(s) ownerships since July 2008..

Think I bought my first Prelude in 2005 when I was 21 or 22. I am now on my 4th

There's a lot of Prelude love out there.

I think they are an understated gem. A lot of people think Honda's start and end with Civic's and Integras. Preludes seem to be the outsider in Honda circles.

Those people don't know what they are missing.
