APEXI NEO - Is it worth it?

Gents,
A mate of mine used to have a civic and he sold it years ago. He was clearing out his garage and came across an Apexi Neo which he has offered me for £100. I think its a good price.
Has anyone got one installed? My car is only running an induction kit and a decat exhaust at this stage, but I am interested in at some point getting the single runner intake manifold for an ATR and putting it on my car.
My questions are:
1.) Will the Neo fine tune the car as it is with the existing bolt ons and possibly unleash some more power? I know the A8 engines are detuned Type S engines?
2.) Assuming I purchase an ATR manifold sometime next year, will the Apexi Neo tune it and unleash the extra power or is this something for a Hondata ECU?
3.) What are they like in general? I understand its a piggy back system, but for the price I am being offered I am actually quite tempted. What are the pros/cons of having one?
Cheers in advance
