Some parts advice needed

Hi guys,
Since it was nice today I was planning giving the car a quick service (plugs and filters) but both Euro car parts and Halfords looked at me liked Id asked for a photo of their mothers in a compromising position when I said they were for a Honda Prelude.
So this led me to look on eBay which offers a lot more choice.
I have two questions:
Should I just get a cheapy paper air filter or a swanky piper cross/k&n panel filter?
And what spark plugs do people recommend?
The car is standard if that makes any difference.

One thing's for sure, do NOT get the Bosch Super 4 plugs. They drain Honda engines by about 20% of their power. Tested this myself on a dyno few years back.
I've always gone with iridium or platinum plugs, though boggo basic copper ones work well too, but just don't last as long.
As for filter, it's always worth getting an uprated one to help improve the air flow. K&N panel filters are always a good bet.

i personally would go k+n, mainly as i live in norfolk which is a dirty sh1t hole and i like to change my air filter 3 times a year (every 5k)! makes fiscal sense as you just clean the k+n and re-oil it
iridium plug is what i use, no reason than everyone else seems happy with them TBH

Pipercross for me, apparently slightly better performance than the K&N, also cleanable, and cheaper.
I'm currently using Denso TT sparkplugs from eBay, only 18 quid posted but fine so far. If I need to change them once a year that's fine with me

This, cos I have one too, or as Indigolemon says

Why buy a cack paper one that needs to be replaced when you can keep the same one foreverrrrrrr...
