stupid boy and valve clearances

Spent 2 hours adjusting valve clearances on my 3rd gen and when id finished the last one thought, hmmm... they were all miles out...

Then checked if the feeler gauge i was using were metric... opps! Just as well i didnt start it. Now to do it all over again!

If id not realised, put it all together (doing cambelt, oil, collant, exhaust as well) and it sounded like a drum with nails in it I would be properly pissed

with myself!

Haha I did this on my white one... But I'm embarrassed to say I did them right using my brothers feelers the first time, then thought there was a noisey one so re did them with my own brand new angled feelers (which were all metric

), drove the car obviously new they wernt right but re did them another 3 times!!

Then finally my boss bought some feelers for a job in work which is when I realised the massive errors and did them correctly....

Needles to say I can do tappits on a h23a1 in about 10 mins now
