any pointers people looks a nightmare

doesnt it attach with screws and clips?

I fitted a new lower trim a couple of weeks ago - afterwards i found there was a guide in the 4th gen manual
lift the trim up and loosen the screws you can then slide the trim off - this wont really work imo as they are that old they wont slide
The grommets that hold it in place have two tabs that need to be compressed so you can pop them out - you can access them from underneath.
New ones come with clips attached so just click it into place and then tighten the screws up to draw it down.

I've got a new one be careful if you get it wrong water will get through
