Not happy: wheel refurb coming up ...

Post by Sailor » Wed Jul 30, 2014 11:08 pm

I was forced to take evasive action by an Audi straying across the white line towards my side of the road.
There was a high kerb.

Although it happened only in the next village to ours, I did not recognise the woman driving. Needless to say, she did not stop.

This was my best set of wheels, which makes it all the more galling.
At least the wheel isn't buckled as far as I can tell.
The front tyres were going to have to be replaced before winter anyway, but I haven't budgeted for that expense until then.

You could leave it for a while, it doesn't look like that damage is enough to let any air fall out..

But I just can't bring myself to believe that an audi driver is capable of this
   (@ duckface's remark, not the damage obviously!)

You know it's bad when it takes a chunk of the tyre with it! :o

Tire is totally fine imho. No issue there. No bubbles and no sidewall intrusion. half a sunday with some filler, sandpaper and a spraycan will see that right mate.
