Postage WTF!?

I need a new rear ARB and I spotted one on the Energy Suspension Parts website (US based supplier)

http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/pr ... prod=BHR43

The postage from there is £53, that's £53 USA to the IOM.

The postage from the UK mainland is £60 to the IOM.

How the f*ck can they get away with charging this? Needless to say I'm not ordering from a UK based supplier!

The delivery drivers are scared of that three legged thing you keep as a pet.

I was more thinking of a flag joke, but yeah. If you go chasing all the delivery drivers with your willy out I can see how the cost would go up ...

On a serious note, have you tried ordering from a dealer like Hond-R or H-tune? Seems alot, appreciate it's a long item but not £60 surely?

if you order from US will you have to pay import duty?
have you had a look at how much it would cost to get dhl or parcel force to collect it, another cheap alt is my hermes. all these online booking collections will collect from anywhere in uk to deliver anywhere in uk.

From the US, including delivery and import tax is cheaper than buying over here.

Quite often as I'm looking around buying + postage is cheaper than just the item over here!

Got any mates in Liverpool or wherever the ferry from the IOM pitches up? Might work out cheaper to just hop across as a walking passenger and collect it.

Good spot man, it's only £25 delivery from there! Much cheaper alternative.

Strange, as EP are usually much more expensive than everywhere else I find

Cheers.
