No V-Power!

I went home via the dual carriageway today in order to fill up with Shell V-Power for the first time in about a year. Pulled up to the pumps and all the V-Power ones were "out of order"! So I just put in a tenners worth of regular unleaded and when at the counter asked when they were getting in more V-Power. The guy said "No time soon" Typical! Apparently they have to buy £10,000 worth at a time and it just isn't popular enough at this time of year to justify it. The next Shell garage is a fair bit out of my way, but I wonder whether it'll be the same situation there :?

Anyone else finding this where they're from?...

My usual garage next to where I work was out of v-power on Saturday but thankfully it was back in on Sunday. Down in the South Wales valleys every man and his dog has an evo, scooby, focus st, ctr etc etc so plenty of demand for the stuff :)

I'm kinda lucky there's 2 near to me and en-route to work there is 2 more (motorway services there and back). I could start bottling some and sell it off to those that can't get it

Strange that its not popular enough and they have sold out?

Not at all! I was quite surprised to hear it. I thought surely £10k worth of fuel wouldn't take them that long to go through. I'm hoping one of their next-door-competitors has just been getting all the custom, and that's why. There are defintely enough MR2's & Scooby's around here to call enough demand on their own!

use the search function on preludeuk.co.uk for hours of reading on the subject. in a jdm engine or a bilt engine you will see power increase. in a stock motor you wont is the basics.

We don't actually get V-Power over here :( Since Shell upped and left and MP (Manx Petroleum) took over their stations at least.

Shell still supply their petrol, they just don't own the stations. There's a strange setup where we'll get V Power as long as there's enough, as in Shell get first dibs on it basically. So while most of the time we 99 octane petrol, there's still a chance that the higher octane pumps aren't actually V Power.

Well I got the impression yesterday that the garage I was at, although a "Shell" garage, was actually independantly owned.
