Glad you're all OK though! Feck me that could have been nasty.

It's not well...
Passenger rear quarter panel, drivers door and sill, front bumper, washer bottle, rear bumper, side skirts and arch trims and mudguards on drivers side, possibly front cross member of chassis (not sure) very minor damage to a chassis bracket that the front trailing arm bolts to. Oh and either a front wheel bearing or some other bearing in the front axle I think, because although it drives absolutely fine, there's a thrumming from the front right when loading the wheel up on a left hand turn or at high speed.
That's what can be seen without stripping anything. That's about £1k to £1.5k in (new) parts I think, before you even get into labour and paint. Mechanical stuff and steel panels for Landies are cheap, but large aluminium body panels aren't
Phil wants to keep the car cause he loves it (it was in great nick and fully loaded with everything). Any replacement would have to be burgundy too (it's his colour) which makes it nearly impossible to find.
Phil runs a body shop (he's a panel beater/sprayer by trade) so he's looking into it and will let me know. I don't really want him to have the hassle of repairing it, but I don't think he'd want anyone else to do it, which is understandable. There's another bloke on the same site as him that repairs salvage wrecks and he came out and took a look round and said it was an easy job, but seeing some of the stuff lying round his yard that he's working on
I don't think anything phases him!
If Phil is gonna do the repair, I can see myself having some very late nights and long weekends assisting with the strip and rebuild (he hates doing trim)...

I set up my garden listening station
Also doubles as the national meet rig

the signalling kit is a little overkill for the system but it sounds nice for a garden stereo
1x 15'' sub 600w 30-70hz
2x 12'' bass 800w 50-120hz
2x 12'' mids + 2x 1/2 inch compression drivers 500w 120-16500hz.
Aphex 204 running about 16% drive

It's fooking awesome. Did more in two hours than i have managed in two months of digging by hand.
4stroke Briggs & Stratton engine on it, the more powerful 5hp version too. Took a trip to Wimbourne in the Civic to collect it, got back and shredded up the allotment patch on Sunday afternoon.
I need more petrol toys, i'm now beginning to enjoy the gardening.
The fun part is that it is a bit like when i owned cars when i was younger. I could do basic stuff like sparkplugs, clean carbs and so it. They are just basic engines so i can tinker with them too.
