i dont know how they want get away with that tracker/black box idea, as if you look bit deeper into that its bit like tracking all your move what is basicly interference with your privacy

I'd sooner use public transport than have a tracker

I can't see them making them mandatory in the future though... it'd be too much like ankle tagging everyone.

I was paying just over a £1k for my insurance and I have my new renewal letter for a price of £980. So it is cheaper. :)

But the car is not going to be insured for now. I will have the car back on the road after June.

Just got my renewal letter...

£2435.76

So I have an extra year of no claims, I'm a year older, and I have a clean licence now... so they make it about 600 quid more than last year. Genius!

Forgot to add that with this quote they'd increased my excess to £850  this is with Halifax by the way with Sabre Insurance or something... :?

~£1800 last year because they put on about 200-250 extra on for paying monthly instead of in one go. That was with 3 points and 1 years no claims. This was the cheapest fully comp I could find last year.

Admiral have quoted me just shy of £1400 fully comp, if I put my dad on my insurance as a named driver, £1100. Sky gave me quick quote price of £1300, so I think if I can call them and get a LG club discount thingy I should hopefully be able to match the lower Admiral price. I hope so... some people have really slated Admiral and a lot of people rate Sky... but I'm gonna be going for the lowest price because with no income and all my stuff maxed I can't afford to drokk about!

 Nice, if only I could get quotes like that at 23 :P To put that into perspective, with this quote they said I could pay £202 per month or £2280 in one go :|

Still, not as bad as a new driver I know. 18, been driving about a year, 1 year no claims I think, clean licence, he's paying £430 a month on a 1.2 8v Punto :o

ok folks listen up. beware of trackers - you could endup getting arrested or even imprisoned simply because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time  imagine the senario, little girl goes missing, big nationwide search finds nothing, so police use tracking data to see who was where at that time, you may have just stopped to get fags or something, doesnt matter you were there. ok your not guilty but since when did that stop tabaloid press  or even a murder inquiry, how many inocent people are imprissoned :?

how long will it be before someone getts nicked for speeding, snooped on by your satnav, it remembers everything or even your smart phone
