Not many people are keen on leaving their own little bubble these days.
On Thursday I was driving through countryside just north of Hartfield, near the Ashdown Forest. The roads there are very twisty with plenty of blind corners but it's national limit so most people aim to drive at 60. I was driving behind two other cars, and as we came on to a straight there was an elderly woman on foot in our side of the road. She had a potted plant in each hand and looked like she was really struggling. The two cars in front of me just weaved around her and carried on. I stopped to check she was alright! Couldn't leave her there as it was bloody dangerous, and she must have been about 80! Turned out she had no transport and had misjudged the distance between where she came from and Hartfield and wasn't strong enough to carry the plants any further. I gave her a lift back to Hartfield even though it meant I had to turn around and go back on myself and I was subsequently late to where I was going lol. God knows how many people had driven past her though. I don't know how you could drive past and not have a guilty conscience afterwards - surely it's better for everyone to just stop and help?!

And yeah, Lisa and I were in Norwich in Weds. Went to the pub for lunch and everything, but didn't bother texting @Donald 'cause as you say, spends 90% of his time blowing you off

ps have they demolished The Wherry? I was trying to remember what the big gaping hole was, next to the Waterfront

The reason the red Accord is facing nose in is because it wouldn't start for a second timewurlycorner wrote:Unfortunately not the case for me... You just don't love us anymore, that's what it is

It's this site I'm talking about. The Wherry is in Lowestoft.

Used to be the brewery by the looks of that article.
I'm sure it used to have a pub at the back, facing onto the river and I thought it was called The Wherry
