Surely you just fil in the correct details on the amendments section of the v5, send it off to them and they'll issue a new v5 with those details on it?
You might get them to do it to the engine size, for example, without too much hassle, but it's very unlikely they'll change the make/model if it is incorrectly registered in the first place.
