The best seafood restaurant I've ever been to is (was) in Honfleur Harbour. Will go back some day.

Was supposed to go to Yamaha meet at the Ace Café today, my brothers RD400 broke down at Fleet Services, bummer.

Well finally took off the dash front to get a look in at the reason why i have had no dashlights in a years ownership of the lude(one lazy sod!)
Haven't not been of huge importance abd been left with fuel and temp gauges going good it never really bothered me but recently trouble with the vss just got me wanting to get at it for the cel light in particular and it wasn't long before a result.

Some Ogre has not only done the cel light surround damage but the whole area has been chewed away by some hungry fiend.

Must have been on the cover up of a cel but that is just nuts :o

At least i know what i need now,i will scour and wait for a bargain.

I took Laura's Audi in for its MOT today :?

We have now owned it since last August and travelled 15k miles in it since buying it, it's now at 134k miles and my hopes weren't high to say the least

Anyway it failed  But only on cloudy headlights, a split CV boot and the snapped exhaust flexi (which to be fair I've known about for ages but just couldn't be bothered to fix   ).

Tonight I tackled the headlights, here's a few before and after pics:

Pleased with that 8-) They're not perfect but they're not bad all things considered :)

I then had a look at the CV boot and annoyingly it's in great condition but the clip on the inboard side of the boot appears to have caused the split... Even more annoying is the bolt that holds the driveshaft in place:

Not sure why VW opted to go for an allen bolt, all I know is that my tool isn't big enough

Looks like I'll be buying more sockets at the weekend...

Oh and on a final note I haven't posted this in a build thread as this car doesn't have/warrant one, before I get any jobby - you know who you are ;)

Indeed I will. Though going by the other guys at Portsdown Hill, my engine bay needs a bloody good clean. It's still got another 80k to beat my SRI130 mileage wise.
