Low end losses will not be that much, a few torque, but at that low RPM bhp will hardly be effected

I have a spare k+n filter if you do want one, needs a clean but I have the kit to do that and re oil it so would be good as new.

Not heard of problems closing the bonnest from fitting an A8 filter, but you will find your cruise control and throttle cables will rub on the underside of the bonnet.
