I had no speedo or vtec since Sunday,i did a battery swap that day to see if mine is running low, radio powers off if you get some half decent volume,so anyway i assumed i had moved something or worse blown a fuse by some error and after a good clean of the Vss all is well again
.

The only thing I don't like is the grandad shift knob and lack of leather gaitor.. I'm going to see if I can find a replacement shift knob and a gaitor from a manual.

Ah, the lude had a sport button down from the shift button, so even in D4 it would hold up to the redline in each gear if you floored it.

New alternator arrived. Not bad at £135 delivered next day. Bought it from the Starter Motor & Alternator Company. Honda wanted ~£460 and Euro Car Parts ~£320Merlin wrote:Today I had to buy a new alternator for my '07 Civic. Yesterday I had to cram 2 adults, a baby seat (+ baby), a 4 year old and all the associated crap into a 5th gen Prelude. Fun!

My previous one was mainly a sarky comment tbh, not an entirely straight forward onebb1boy wrote:...and holds the gear longer so more VTEC time?

With foot floored, does it make any difference whether the gear lever is in D3 or D4? Auto's used to take foot floored to mean hold the gear to the end anyway
