This is how I do it from my iPhone. (androids might be different)

Go to the photo and then there is an option. I select the 'copy share URL' option. This copies the URL link. Then I go to where ever I want to post the photo (such as this post thread) then write it like this [insta] paste the link [/insta] and press preview, and if it's done the way it should then press submit.

Just remove the spaces from the start and end of the url.
