Low oil level only causes vtec to drop out (or oil pressure light to come on and engine to be killed, if bad enough
)
What did they check?
I think you need to follow my advice on the ht system as the next step.

I want to redo all the leads, plugs and maybe even the dizzy. But I’ve also heard about getting thicker leads that are apparently better, and I’m unsure or what plugs are the best. Also what the deal with the dizzy? Do I replace the whole unit or should I look into getting specific parts? Thanks guys

You can get parts for the distributor.
https://www.ignitioncarparts.co.uk/
Like I said, the coil is the most likely bit.
Yes you can get upgraded ht leads, but they're not necessary - you don't need to upgrade to fix what (here) is just a fault. Just replace with oem spec, unless you fancy splashing the cash.

Thanks for the link
i was only thinking with the leads that i might as well get an upgraded one whilst I'm at it.

i'm back again with my broken car
so this time round i done something i should of before, and pulled some codes from the paperclip/hit a pothole and have to reset your 4ws slot.
the codes i have come from the abs light and were 61 and 81. i couldn't find anything for 81 but I've seen 61 could be "front heated oxygen sensor". however i don't know much about pulling codes and it seems to me that they might be a difference between ABS and CEL codes.
Bear in mind that the codes i found are not specific to a prelude but Hondas in general, i assume they are all the same.
if the code is right then is it possible that it might not be the sensor itself, but possibly wiring? or is it best to replace the whole unit?
if anyone could clear this up for me that'll be great, cheers

I can’t find links to the codes anywhere, I’ve searched and looked through the wiki but the only thing I can find is the other threads with other people listing the codes they’ve pulled. Can someone link it or confirm my codes please? Sorry to be a pain

Your ABS faults appear to be secondary due to ignition / voltage issues.
You should pull the ECU codes too to see if that sheds some light....
