If I need to measure anything longer or heavier than me I just multiply it.

I find the body's useful for other comparisons. Decreptitude, for example.
The black Lude is 0.4 x me; the blue one 2.7.

The Volvo? It's writing its will.

17 stone 2 and a bit pounds
and doggo you are mixing Imperial and metric in you last post
I don't think so Paul

2.2 lbs per kg
14 lbs per stone
16 oz per lb
28.35 g per oz

It's not hard people  I know both systems, what's your excuse?

55 kg is 8.66 stone. 170 cm is 5'7".
Paul has converted doggos weight donald into stone and pounds, very accurately to i might add
Not the 55kg

I had a new staircase arrive on Wednesday last week, so this Saturday my Dad and I started the swap.

The old stairs were just a straight run of 13 steps, but had a case of woodworm and dry rot, so they needed to come out.

I thought I'd take advantage as well, with the house now having a completely new layout. The living area and kitchen will now spill into the new rear extension, and whereas previously the house only had a metre square welcoming area at the base of the stairs when you came though the front door, I've since knocked down a wall, built another, and created a hallway :) So the new stairs have a turn at the bottom, which I find much more pleasing :D

The old set...

And just tonight we put the last tread and riser on the new set...

There's banisters to go on as well, but I'll save fitting those until after the hallway has been plastered.
