Yep, I've seen genuine Honda ones on ebay as well.

I wouldn't have any problem going with a pattern one myself though - with the way the genuine Honda ones are failing, I'd hardly call them excellent quality tbh (I can't think of another car I know of that has oil pumps fail like we're seeing on H22's?! :? ). If the Honda ones are £300, are they worth £200 more than a pattern one? Errr, no way, I'd say...

And how many miles do you expect the car to do the rest of the time you have it? It'll be way less than 100k I suggest!

That's my 2p's worth anyway, but only you can speak for what the depth of your pockets are and what makes you feel comfortable, really.

Thank for the 2p's, 4p's and more p's. I really dont want to import one tbh. So the only place i can pick one up in the uk is honda? Do all h22's have the the same oil pump or dose the older h22a have a different set up?
Thanks for the input everyone it is much appreciated. This is going to be more of a ball ache than i first thought.....:(

Go for it mate, order one from honda. As long as our maintaining your engine well and using correct materials or oil at correct intervals dependant on your usage you shouldn't see any premature issues regarding oem parts. Well worth the extra 2p's ;)

Why not try Scott @ H-tune for a genuine Honda one.
Not only does he have the best name in the world but he also sourced stuff even i cannot find.
