I see what you're saying. Its all about efficiency though.
I always wondered why regulations were more lenient on one manufacturer than another...

Yeah, they're the same regulations, and I think we all agree they're not good, but manufacturers still have a lot of choice despite them. And obviously Honda have chosen to monkey around with loads of extra weight in the shape of those electric motors, when they weren't needed.
The original NSX - a 'real' Honda from their glory days – was light and simple with all the necessary bits – mid engine, lightweight low-drag body, double wishbone front and rear suspension, etc. - no messing around with extraneous bollocks!

Not my sort of thing unfortunately. A bit disappointed really.
Just looks like every other modern car/supercar these days, in terms of design, spec, & computer controlled gubbins.
Probably quite similar to, and a direct competitor for the Nissan GT-R.
Would just be nice to see Honda breaking the mould & going back to their roots with raw, simple engineering.
Not that I'd refuse a test drive though..

Looks crap, like a lambo has crashed into the back of an Audi R8. The prototype looked much better. They should of also made it a V10 VTEC.

On one hand I hate the thought of electronics and driver aids in a car and instead favour mechanical LSD's and innate grip. But Honda always showcase new tech, VTEC engines, 4WS, ATTS etc.... So the new NSX doesn't surprise me.
The Super GT NSX-GT Concept looks the danglies though

Alot of moaning in this thread.
Are you really superised the car is like it is. Its how things have developed.
Plus the production model isnt out yet and plus the Type R model (if there is one isnt out yet), plus the BB4 version isnt out yet.
I think it ace so far.
The NSX IS a generic shaped supercar.
